  • 5 Tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 Tablespoon cake flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter (melted and cooled)
  • 2 1/2 Tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla; mix until light and airy.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together cake flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients into wet mixture until just mixed.
  6. Chill dough for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  7. Prepare filling by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cake flour until smooth.
