  • Blue gel food coloring
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos)
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit until foamy.
  2. Stir in sugar, egg, egg yolk, melted butter, and vanilla. Gradually mix in flour and salt until combined.
  3. Knead the dough until soft and slightly sticky. Add blue food coloring and knead until evenly distributed.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl covered with a towel for about 1 to 1½ hours or until doubled in size.
  5. For the filling, mix softened butter with brown sugar and cinnamon; stir in crushed cookies and mini chocolate chips.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread filling evenly, roll tightly from one side to another.
  7. Cut into pieces and place in a greased baking dish; let rise again for about 30 to 45 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. For icing, beat cream cheese with butter; add powdered sugar and vanilla while mixing in milk to reach desired consistency.
  10. Drizzle icing over cooled rolls and top with crushed cookies.
