Ingredients

  • Chow Mein Noodles
  • Beef (or chicken, shrimp, or tofu)
  • Bell peppers
  • Carrots
  • Bean sprouts
  • Snow peas
  • Bok choy
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Soy sauce
  • Hoisin sauce
  • Sesame oil
  • Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Slice beef thinly against the grain; chop veggies into bite-sized pieces.
  2. If using fresh chow mein noodles, blanch them in boiling water for 2 minutes; drain and rinse.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over high heat; stir-fry beef for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from pan.
  4. In the same pan, sauté minced garlic and ginger briefly before adding vegetables; stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Return beef and noodles to the pan; add soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Toss well to combine.
  6. Stir-fry everything together for another couple of minutes until heated through.
