  • 34 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 100g chopped walnuts
  • 250g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • a pinch of salt
  • 125g unsalted butter, softened
  • 150g granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 100ml milk (or non-dairy alternative)
  • lemon juice (for tossing pears)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a round cake pan (about 23 cm).
