  • 2 lbs (900 grams) apples (sweet varieties like Gala or Fuji)
  • 10 cups water
  • 2 Tbsp (25 grams) brown sugar
  • 4-inch piece ginger (fresh)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 tsp black peppercorns

Instructions

  1. Wash the apples under running water, quarter them, and remove the cores.
  2. In an Instant Pot, combine all ingredients and cook on high pressure for 18 minutes. Alternatively, simmer on the stove until apples are soft.
  3. Strain the tea through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher or jar.
  4. Allow it to cool completely before refrigerating.
  5. Serve hot or chilled over ice.
